It has been awhile since I have posted but I can't really feel sorry about it. Life has been crazy and hectic and all around just a roller coaster.
My last blog was nothing more than an update on my weight loss journey. I'm excited to have lost a total of 31 pounds since Feb. 14. Admittedly, the last month has not had much (any) progress but at least I haven't gained. I haven't been exercising the way I was in the beginning but I still try to watch what I eat and portion control.
Weight loss in of its self is a good thing for me. The doctors classified me as overweight bordering obese for my height. The one thing I sort of had on my side is even though I have big - ish legs and thighs, a good chunk is muscle, thanks to my show choir days. Other than the need to drop the weight, the true reason behind wanting to lose weight was to be better prepared for pregnancy.
Trying to become more healthy for my pregnancy is honestly going better than I expected. my weight loss is progressing, I'm eating much healthier, and I have beaten being anemic. I know what caused my anemia so it was rather easy to get it under control. It did take a bit of time, but still successfully managed it. I have also started taking prenatal vitamins to better prepare.
My amazing husband is thriving in the Air Force. His BMT graduation was an unforgettable event!! Tech school has been going great for him. His is tied for top student in his class. I had the opportunity to fly down to biloxi, mississippi over memorial weekend to see him. Because that base has every other friday off, we had 4 amazing days together. It was truly a magical weekend that will be in my heart forever. Soon, he will be headed off to his second tech school base to learn the specifics of his job and I'm thankful that it is only a 7 hour drive. It will make it much easier to see each other.
My 3 year old daughter is a very rowdy, head strong lil firecracker!! People always warn about the "terrible 2s" but never say a word about when a kid turns 3. Looking back, I don't think she was all that bad at 2. She mostly listened and usually did as she was told. She loved to play and laugh and just be a happy child. A switch must have flipped in her brain when she turned 3 because dear lord!! I love this child with all my heart but geez she became a hand full quick!!! She is still happy and full of life. Constantly smiling and laughing but she gets into trouble much more. She loves pushing her boundaries and seeing just how far she go before she is sent to the "no no chair". Potty training isn't working out so well, it just hasnt clicked in her mind yet but we are still trying. I love my child so very much and she means the world to me. man oh man what a teen she will be...
well, that is all for now. til anon
